Problem with the dxp_1.2 and IBoot G2+.

Post by nberglund » December 21st, 2012, 12:31 pm

I have noticed that the dxp_1.2 executable fails to control the IBootG2+ in some circumstances. If I send it the command:
dxp_1.2.exe -a192.168.1.254 -s1 -uadmin -padmin
it fails to turn on, but if I add a time period, such as:
dxp_1.2.exe -a192.168.1.254 -s1 -t99 -uadmin -padmin
then it works.

In the first instance, it connects and then disconnects and never prints the "ACK Received, OK" line, nor does it print any error messages. The problem persists when I recompile the source code. The same commands work fine when controlling the IBootG2; it seems to be only the IBootG2+ that has this problem, and only when I want to turn it on or off without cycling it. Does anyone know what might be the problem?

Thanks!

What version of iBoot-G2+ are you using?
I am unable to reproduce the error you describe.
I have written a batch file to turn on, wait 5 seconds, turn off, wait 5 seconds, repeat.
The iBoot-G2+ unit I have (v 1.0b.14) went for over 60 times without a hitch.

Can you e-mail a wireshark trace of 5 you unit failing?
