Re: iBootBar & iBoot Cloud - to be or not to be ?

iBootBar is no longer being considered for cloud function. The replacement iboot-PDU device support the cloud. (as well as many other cooler features) Support for the following is available here: iBoot-PDU support Cloud server interface has changed since BETA, please refer to the following page to s...

Re: Timed events not working

In most cases the iBootBar will need to have a network connection to have the correct time to run the scheduled event. Set the Use NTS to no, since there is not network, and be sure the time is set on the device. There is no battery backup, so set the time after plugging in where is needs to be conn...

Re: Setting up a iBoot bar cluster

I do not think you can use the serial adapter. I have not tried, but the connection is a 485 bus across all connected units. If you know the MAC address of the remote device, you can set the device setting across the RS-485. Excerpt from page 19 of the iBB Manual... set unit <hwkey> device <2‐16> Se...

Re: IBoot bar reset

By now you have probably contacted support directly, but a unit that does not have serial access, and the outlets do not come on in sequence on power up, is probably broken.

LED blinking as you describe is not an error code. The unit does not have error codes.

Re: no connect to NTP server

The iBootBar uses the TIME protocol (port 37) and not the more prevalent newer NTP (port 123). If you are using your own server at 24.56.178.140 have the admin confirm it uses the TIME protocol on port 37 as well. (most servers can be setup to support both.) If you need a list of available servers o...

Re: Setting up a iBoot bar cluster

The cable is RJ-11, but must be a data cable. (Straight through and not a cross over.) Standard RJ-11 phone cables are usually cross over. (Technically, the iBB uses only the center pair for RS-485 communication.) No, since the RJ-11 on the back of the iBB units are in parallel, which you use does n...

Re: iBoot In Use

The iBoot is in use message is because the iBoot has only one socket and can only have one web connection open at a time. If your unit is legitimately displaying the message, then it can be because another PC is logged into the unit, or you did not log out of the unit with the timeout set for 0. (no...

Re: iBootBar & iBoot Cloud - to be or not to be ?

At this time there are no plans to add cloud support for the current hardware "old designed" iBootBar units.

The new Hardware/firmware design is the platform that is planned for cloud support.
